Tuesday Night Supper

On instruction by my 8 year old we had a coconut and lentil curry tonight. So easy and delicious and the kids loved it too. Its mild, creamy and the lentils are very filling and make a great thickening agent for curry.
Grace my youngest daughter bought a set of 'healthy cookery cards ' with her birthday money last week ( I'm a bit worried that she might be showing the first signs of food obesession following in my footsteps, but eh, it could be worse?! We're going to work our way through the cards and she gets to choose supper one night a week ( lets hope it's not smiley face pizzas for a while!)
Better make the packed lunches now....boring, but since last week's yogurt explosion on a school trip I'm a bit wary of yogurts in tubes!!

Foood Glorious food

I read today that a survey suggests that a third of primary school children think oranges grow in Britain. Almost half believe margarine comes from cows, and a quarter assume bread is made from potatoes or rice.
Now that is sad .......mind you I think mark thinks that meals grow on trees!!
